ROGELIO ROBLES
PAINTER
He was born on November 12, 1983, in San Lorenzo Tlacoyucan, Milpa Alta, Mexico City. Until the age of 16, his life was normal, like that of any boy of his age, he had just finished high school and was starting to integrate into the family business, but on May 27, 2001, on their way to work, he suffered a tragic car accident with his father and brother, Rogelio was seriously injured in the cervical vertebrae, leaving him without movement in their whole body (quadriplegic).
Months and years of arduous Rehabilitation therapies, he met Mirna, one of his therapists who helped. Despite his limitations, he could write and paint with his mouth. Later, she introduced him to Juan González Cervantes, a painter with his mouth, who belongs to the APBP (Association of Painters with the Mouth and Foot). He initiated him in the art of painting, being his first mentor when the master Juan considered that he was ready, invited him to become a fellow of the Association, one year later, he was accepted for the APBP in 2006.
